IPIEF Summer School with IIIT
Malaysia- Friday, September 7, 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, IPIEF and International Institute of Islamic Tought (IIIT) held a meeting of IPIEF summer school occurred on July. This meeting was also attended by Dato Seri Dr. Anwar Ibrahim, board of IIIT Trustees, Dr. Ziauddin Sardar, Academic Committee IIIT, Dr. Hisham, President of IIIT Washington DC and team from IIIT USA, and UK, and Prof. Dato Wira, Dr. Jamil Osman, Dir East and South East Asia. Before the presentation Dr. Ziauddin Sardar and Dr. Hassan AlTalib, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim who led this meeting.
This is the speech from IIIT Indonesia representative Ustadz Habib Chirzin “We continue to develop the trend setting in Islamic Thought, Integration of knowledge, Curriculum, Education and Civilizational reform with public and private universities. Alhamdulillah, networking has developed and the Inter-university Forum for Islamic Epistemology and Civilizational Studies is based at UNAND Padang and UIN Imam Bonjol and the signing of the MOU with various universities with its follow-up program etc”.
Particularry, also mentions the Summer School on Islamic Economics program in collaboration with Internationa Program for Islamic Economics and Finance IPIEF FEB UMY and also Textbook Wrting program with several Universities. We have started with a scholarship and expert exchange program by presenting visiting Professor in Yogyakarta, for two months, can be used by several universities. In 2019 there will be visiting Professor for 3 months. Now research is being conducted in collaboration with research institute UNJ Jakarta, for education and promotion in Moslem Society. Hopefully this cooperation is sustainable and beneficial, he added.
