Hello, I’m cho seong sik. In Korea, I majored in economics and trade at Sunmoon University in Cheonan and got a good opportunity to come to UMY as an exchange sudent.
I learned Islamic economy in UMY and it was really interesting because it has a very different economic system from Korea.
First of all, I was shocked that there was no interest in the bank, and I liked the Islamic banking system, which all had the purpose of living well together.
As the class was conducted in English, of course it was a little difficult to understand, but I could take the class safely and take the test well thanks to my friends’ help.
Of course, it was good to take a class with my friends at school, but Yogyakarta is a really beautiful tourist spot. I tried to go to many places, but there are still many places that I haven’t been.
I went to three volcanoes. It was really nice to see the wonderful scenery that I couldn’t see in Korea.
Above all, I really liked it because there were many seas.
I also went to the swimming pool which is the largest in the jokja. I remember that I experienced leisurely everyday life in Indonesia for 4 months.
The meals were satisfactory. Especially, sate, nasigorang and soto were really delicious.
If I have a chance, I want to go there again and travel.
I didn’t know Indonesia liked Korea, but thank you for liking us like this and I won’t forget your kindness.
