IPIEF 7th Guest Lecture Even Semester Series with with Wan Omar Fadhli from International Islamic University Malaysia

International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF) presents Guest Lecture Series. This Even semester’s 7th Guest Lecture Class Series is on Wednesday, July 6th 2022 start at 01.30 PM WIB, Through the online Zoom meeting. IPIEF invited extraordinary lecturers Assoc Prof Wan Omar Fadhli from International Islamic University Malaysia. The meeting was moderator directly by IPIEF lecturer Dr. Dyah Titis K with the discussion topic is Exchange Rate and Balance of Payments Determination. This class was mainly attended by IPIEF Students, UUM Student and open for other students to join the class via youtube live stream.

Students are very interested in discussions related to the history of Islamic economics of figures and their thoughts. Following are the conclusions from the discussion :

  • The History of Islamic Economics as a study can be classified to two – the old Islamic Economics and the modern Islamic Economics
  • The Current history of Islamic Economics have two issues-the domination of Islamic Finance over IE and the mimic of secular-based foundations in contemporary IE model
  • The bright future waits ahead as many scholars realize about this and motivate the younger generation to fix the mistakes
