Assalamualaikum wbt. I am Yusliza Binti Mohd Yasin, a third year student from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). I have done my student exchange at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia in the Faculty of Economics and Business. The experience of joining this program is indeed very meaningful in my life because this is my first time living abroad. I can say that choosing to join student exchange was the best decision in my life because I can see the different perspectives in terms of culture, language, food, lifestyle and so on. Although I am alone as an inbound student in this faculty, I never feel left out because my new friends are always with me, we often eat together and share stories with each other. They also taught me a lot when I was confused about something. I think it is very easy to make friends with people we have just met here because they are very friendly. The learning environment also fun because the lecturers and my classmates are very kind and supportive.

In my spare time, I usually visit some interesting places here. There are many tourist spots close to Yogyakarta such as beaches, mountains, temples, waterfalls and so on. I feel like 4 months is not enough to visit all these places. Definitely, I will come here again if I have the chance.

Four months went by so fast. I felt sad when I had to leave Yogyakarta. The memories during my student exchange at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta are indeed so wonderful and I will never forget them. Before I end this story, I would like to express my gratitude to my new friends, lecturers and staff at UMY for welcoming me here and treating me so well during my time here.
