Yogyakarta- IPIEF students on Monday, September 3, 2018 attended the English Bridging Course and Tutorial aimed at introducing new students about class system before attending the official class on 10 September. This agenda  took place in PS 002 Postgraduate Building UMY was attended by 19 of a total of 29 new students IPIEF. This activity will be held on 3 until 8 September 2018.
Dimas Bagus Wiranatakusuma, SE, M.Ec., Ph.D as IPIEF director (01/09) explained thar bridging activity is in addition to preparing new students before attending the study by giving an introduction to economics courses, but also to measurement the extent of student knowledge about the economics. Many hopes that new students who not understand about economics will have basic economic knowledge and for new students who already understand the economic basis in order to be well when attending the class that will begin next week, in addision the aimed of this agenda are also to prepare English for new students, he added.
The new students looked very enthusiastic join on english bridging dan tutorial. In the first session at 08.00-12.00 WIB with English language material who taught by instructors from the Language Training Center (LTC) UMY. Then the second session at 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which taught by Satria Malik. He is IPIEF student who had just finished student exchange program at SIAS International, Zhengzhou, China. In this session, students will get material on introducing macroeconomics, introducing microeconomics, mathematics and principal of accounting.
