15th Guest Lecture Series with Dr. Marina Binti Abdul Manap with Topic Consumption
International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF) presents Guest Lecture Series. This odd semester’s 15th Guest Lecture Class Series is on Wednesday, 8 December 2021 at 01.00 – 02.00 PM WIB, Through the online Zoom meeting. IPIEF invited extraordinary lecturers, Dr. Marina Binti Abdul Manap from Universiti Utara Malaysia. The class was moderated by IPIEF’s Lecturer Dr. Dimas Bagus Wiranatakusuma with the topic Applied Macroeconomics This class was mainly attended by the 3rd Semester’s Students and open for other students to join the class via youtube live stream.
This Class talk about consumption in economics. Dr. Marina explain to the student about consumption based on some economic theories of consumption, explaining :
- Consumption Funtion from Keynes
- Intertemporal Choice – Irving fisher
- Life-Cycle Hypothesis from Franco Modigliani
- Permanent Income Hypothesis fro Milton Friedman
- Random-Walk Hypothesis from Hall
- Pull of Instant Gratification – Laibson
