International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance-IPIEF held an event call for papers. The previous call for papers held at the same time with International Conference and in this time call for papers coincided with publishing of the International Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance (IJIEF) volume 1 number 2.


IJIEF is the first journal published by IPIEF and UMY which was launched on July 11, 2018 together with the 3rd International Conference on Islamic Economics and Financial Inclusion (ICIEFI) which was attended by the Rector of UMY and witnessed by all participants and speakers of 3rd ICIEFI from various countries in Asia and Europe. IJIEF has registered in ISSN and Google Scholar. IJIEF also committed to continuing and innovate to can be indexed on Scopus and accredited in the various National and International journals.

This call for papers carries a big theme about Islamic Economics and Finance with sub-themes and topics that are currently being discussed in various countries. The sub-themes are:

  1. Islamic Banking and Finance (including Islamic Capital Market, non-Bank Financial Institution, and Sukuk)
  2. Islamic Macro and Monetary Economics;
  3. Islamic Social Finance (including zakat, infaq, shadaqah, waqf and social microfinance);
  4. Islamic Microfinance
  5. Islamic Fin-tech
  6. Islamic Economic Thoughts
  7. Islamic Political Economics
  8. Integrated Islamic Commercial and Social Finance
  9. Islamic Macro-Prudential
  10. Islamic Public Finance


IPIEF and UMY will give reward millions rupiah for each paper selected to published in IJIEF on the next volume. The collection of papers and registration can be done through the Online Journal System (OJS) which can be accessed on the page and will expire on November 30, 2018. For registration as an author not charge anything. With call for papers and all the facilities provided by the IPIEF and UMY will certainly produce quality journals with research topics that are in line with the development of the latest economic and financial issues.
