Hello, my name is Park Jin Yong. Please you call me Park simply. I’m from South Korea. I live in Suwon in Korea, and I go to Sunmoon University in Korea. I am 25 years old in Korean age and so this is my last semester. I studied economics and trade in Korea, especially in economics, so I also chose economics in Indonesia, but the economy here was a little different because the economy was studying Islam. The Islamic Bank was very different from the general bank. Interest is the most important thing for a general bank. But the Bank of Islam had no concept of interest. The bank should not be profitable. This was the biggest difference. At first these things seemed difficult, but the explanation of the kind professor and his Indonesian friends was very helpful to me. So now I know well about the Bank of Islam. I learned a lot and it was very interesting.

I went to Indonesia to study, but I also had many other non-academic experiences. First, I traveled to many places. Not only the most famous Bali, but also Yogyakarta had many places to travel. Religious cultural assets, cool seas, beautiful scenery, clean nature. There were many different kinds of travel destinations. It was really nice. It was a good experience. There were many things that I would not see in Korea.

And I also had an active experience like rafting. Though not often, I sometimes played soccer with boys, swimming pool, and so on. I like doing exercises. So it was good.

And I participated in another school seminar. Although I had many academic experiences there, I met many friends there and had many experiences. We studied together, and talked a lot with the rest of the year. We talked about each other’s country. We were curious about each other’s country. It was a great opportunity. And I also gave speakers to promote Hangul. People in Indonesia really liked Koreans and loved Korea. So I was really thankful, and I taught Hangul. And there was an announcement comparing the Korean economy with the Indonesian economy.

Lastly, I met many friends in Indonesia. There are so many. If I go to Korea, I will really miss them. They were very kind, and they helped me get used to Indonesia. Thank you very much. If you are considering an Indonesian exchange student right now, please read this article and decide right away. Indonesia is very good choice.
