At Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) especially at Department of Economics, many lecturers have educational backgrounds from abroad. They often complete their bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees at leading universities around the world before joining as teachers at UMY. This allows them to bring diverse experiences, insights and international knowledge to the academic environment at UMY.
