The Odd Semester, 13 IPIEF Students will Join Students Exchange Programme to Malaysia and Thailand

Yogyakarta – The odd semester of academic year 2019/2020, thirteen students of International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF), Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta will join students exchange in transfer credit programs to two countries are Malaysia and Thailand, namely International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaysia Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Khon Kaen University (KKU) Thailand.
To prepare for the departure, was held to brief delivered directly by IPIEF director Dr. Dimas Bagus Wiranatakusuma on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the IPIEF Student Hall on Postgraduate Building, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
At this meeting, students who will join the student exchange program delivered some obstacles such as the process complicated visa application, also waiting process for visa with uncertain times and unclear information regarding the courses they will take on the destination campus.
Regarding the above, Dr. Dimas Bagus Wiranatakusuma advised that students are more proactive in the process before students exchange departure. He also advised that students are more active in learning because the learning climate in abroad was very different where the students had a very high learning spirit.
