Public Lecture by Head of Sharia- Oman Arab Bank
Yogyakarta– International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF) in collaboration with Department of Development Economics, Faculty Economics and Business UMY held Public Lecturer with the theme “Oman Islamic Banking Strategy in Increasing Market Share” with Muhammad Iman Sastra Mihajat, Ph.D Head of Sharia – Oman Arab Bank. This event was held on Saturday, November 17th 2018 was divided into two sections. The first session at 08.00 – 10.00 WIB in Amphitheater E7A KH. Ibrahim building UMY was participated by 120 participants and the second session at 10.00 – 12.00 WIB in postgraduate building at Ps. 301 room UMY which was attended by 30 participants, including among them several UMY lecturers.
On this occasion, Dr. Iman Sastra outlines the picture of the condition of Islamic Banks in Oman, the differentiate between islamic banking in Oman and in Indonesia in terms of management and policy and about the Islamic Banking Regulatory Framework (IBRF) which is regulation or supervision of Islamic banks in Oman.
