Earlier this month, this programme was conducted by participating in 4th Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2017 which has been held by Bank Indonesia from 6-11 November 2017.
“Since the atmosphere of the study could be obtained outside the classroom, Students Mobility Programme relies heavily on the academic activities that can be in the form of a mutual cooperation in research and discussions among universities either national or foreign university,” Fikri Maududi, the President of IESTAC, said after had been interviewed on Saturday (11/10).
Fikri also emphasized the reasons why IETSAC has determined 4th ISEF 2017 to be their destination this year, saying: “It is highly likely that the annual agenda (ISEF) which has been conducted by Bank Indonesia since 2014 as its establishment may encourage students to widen their horizon in the recent issues of contemporary Islamic Finance through meeting and discussing with prominent economists who have had valuable knowledge”. Furthermore, it is widely known that ISEF encompasses many agendas from International Conference on Islamic Monetary, workshop on zakat and waqf, talkshow, authority gathering to Boarding School fair.
There are 25 students of IPIEF participating in this programme, going to ISEF 2017. This team consists of the batch 2015, 2016 and 2017, led by Fikri Maududi. The results of Student Mobility Programme will be intensively discussed in the classroom and taken into account to be the topic of further research project. [Aw]
