IPIEF Student joined Bangkok International Student Conference (BISC) 2019, Thailand

Thailand– Bangkok International Student Conference (BISC) 2019 is an annual academic conference which gathers students from various background and nationalities who are willing to take their academic skills to new heights by presenting, defending, and discussing their papers on the emerging social issues with international peers. This year the conference will be held under the theme “Redefining Democracy: The New Battleground?” discussing the four panels as follows: (1) Social Media Influences on Electoral Campaign; (2) Voter Education: Stakes over the First Time Voters; (3) Democracy and Economic Development; and (4) Democracy and Populism.

The event was held on 21 – 22 January 2019 at Thammasat University invited approximately eighty delegates from various countries to presenting, defending, and discussing their papers in this forum. In this year, Satria Malik – 王毅 student in International Program for Islamic Economics and Finance (IPIEF), Faculty Economics and Business at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta became one of the delegates from the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta and the Indonesian Delegation in Bangkok International Student Conference (BISC) 2019. It was a great honour for me to have an extraordinary opportunity to be a delegate from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta and Indonesia. (ug)
